Whether she is painting in her studio or en plein air (out of doors), painting has become a creative outlet and a life passion for Bonnie. She is inspired by many different subjects with the landscape being one of her favorites. Bonnie believes there is great joy in painting red rocks on a hot desert day, or listening to aspen leaves flutter in the wind as you paint the autumn trees. This, she feels, is part of the experience of painting out of doors. Her paintings reflect this emotional energy through her use of color, expressive brushstrokes and her unique use of light.
